Q. Who can join the mPulse website?
A. The website is mainly for primary, junior secondary and senior secondary school students. Parents can also join the platform to find out about free learning resources and opportunities available for their kids, monitor their children’s activities on the website, recommend education and games services to their children, and get our Parental Control service to track and control their child’s device and Internet use.

Q. Sounds Interesting! I am Student, how do I sign up to the mPulse website?
A. Easy peasy! Follow these steps to register as a student:

Type the URL www.mtnonline.com/mpulse in your browser
When you click on any item on the homepage, the Student Login form appears.
Click on Don’t have an account? Create one and enter all the information required to register.
Q. What about parents? How can a parent sign up to the mPulse website?
A. Simple! Follow these steps to sign up as a parent:

Type the URL www.mtnonline.com/mpulse in your browser
Click on Parents, click here to get to the parent home page.
When you click on any item on the parent homepage, the Parent Login form appears.
Click on Don’t have an account? Create one and enter all the information required to register.
Q. Cool! But will I be charged for signing up to the mPulse website?

Q. I’m a student, what activities can I do on the mPulse website?
A. Lots of learning and fun activities, including:

Q. How can I update my profile on the mPulse website?
A. Log in as a student, click the dropdown menu menu you see on the top right. Then click the first item My Profile, make the changes you want and click the Update Profile button when you are done.

Q. I want to link with my parent on the mPulse website, how can I do this?
A. Log in as a student, click the dropdown menu menu you see on the top right. Then go to the second item My Parents and click Add/Delete Parent, click Add Parent button and fill your parent’s details to connect with them.

Q. So can I access other Youtube content outside the mPulse YouTube content?
A. No, unfortunately. The Youtube content on MTN mPulse website have been carefully selected for you, you can only access these content on the website. We regularly update our YouTube content so there is always something new for you when you visit the site.

Q. I am a parent, how do I support my child’s learning experience on the mPulse website?
A. As a parent, you can do the following on the mPulse website:

  • Link with your child
  • View your linked child’s activities on the website
  • Recommend education and games service of your choice to your child
  • Pay for airtime and data for your child
  • Get education and games services for your child
  • Monitor and Control what websites and apps your child can access using the Parental Control service
Q. I am interested in the Parental Control service, what is it about?
A. MTN Parental Control service allows parents and guardians to set defined rules that will determine the level of internet content access their child/wards have with the use of their phones.

Q. Is the MTN Parental Control service available to all customers?
A. Yes, the MTNN Parental Control Service is available to all MTNN customers.

Q. How do I activate the MTN Parental Control service?
A. To activate the Parental control service, simply do the following:

Dial *344*6# and select the 30 Days Free Trial Service.
You will receive an SMS with your unique activation code to download the App
Download the Kaspersky Safe Kids App on your phone and register your account with the activation code.
In addition, download the app on your child’s phone and setup your child’s account with the email address you used to register your account.
Q. What are the benefits of Parental control service?
A. You will enjoy the following:

  • Monitor your Child/Wards internet activities and protect them from harmful websites and Apps.
  • Monitor your Child/Wards Facebook activities.
  • Track your Child/Wards location real-time.
  • Monitor your Child/Wards battery level.

Q. How many child/wards can I register on my account?
A. You can register up to 6 Children on your account.

Q. How much will I be charged for the Parental Control Service?
A. Your first subscription to the parental control service will be FREE (Also called the freemium). After which, subsequent subscriptions will be charged at N250 for 30 days.

Q. What is the validity of the Free Trial subscription?
A. Your Free Trial subscription will be valid for 30 days.

Q. How many times can I enjoy Free (Freemium) Trial service?
A. You will be able to enjoy the free trial service (freemium) only ONCE on your number.

Q. Will I be able subscribe to the paid plan while enjoying the free trial?
A. No please, free trial must expire before customer can subscribe to paid service

Q. Will my Free Trial service auto-renew into the paid plan after 30 Days?
A. No, your free trial service will not auto-renew BUT will expire after 30 days. After which, you can subscribe to the paid service.

Q. What happens if I do not subscribe to the paid plan after it expires?
A. You will be moved to the limited mode plan and will only be able to use the following services;

Q. While subscribing to the paid plan, I received a pop-up menu to choose either One-off or Auto-renew option. What does this mean?
A. The Pop-up menu is a new feature that allows you to set your subscription on One-off or Auto-renew purchase:

  1. One-Off Purchase means that your subscription will not renew after expiry.
  2. Auto-renew Purchase means your subscription will auto-renew after expiry.
Q. If I exit the Pop-Up Menu or it times out before selecting an option, will my subscription be on One-off or Auto-renew option?
A. If you exit the Pop-Up Menu or it times out before selecting an option, your subscription will be on One-off purchase. This means that your service will not auto-renew upon expiry.

Q. If my subscription is on One-off option, will I be able to opt in for Auto-renewal?
A. Yes, you will be able to opt in for Auto-renewal by dialling *344*6*3#.
Example: If you have an active 30 Day subscription that is on One-off option, you will be able to opt in for auto renewal by dialling *344*6*3#.

Q. Will I be able to cancel auto-renewal anytime?
A. Yes, you will be able to cancel auto-renewal on your bundle anytime by dialing *344*6*4#.

Q. How do I check my subscription status?
A. You will be able to check your subscription status by dialing *344*6*5#.

Q. Will I be able to use my subscription to access the internet?
A. No, you will NOT be able to use your subscription to access to the internet. To access the internet, you will have to purchase a data bundle or browse directly from your main account.

Q. Can I subscribe to multiple paid plan at the same time?
A. No, you will NOT be able to subscribe to multiple paid plan at the same time. You will only to enjoy one paid plan for 30 days after which you can renew your subscription.

Q. How will I monitor my Child’s internet activities and protect them from harmful sites?
A. Simply, login to the Kaspersky Safe Kids App in parent mode and click “Settings” to activate the “web filtering Mode” which allow you to filter contents your child/ward can see. You can also enter the website address of the sites you do not want your child/ward to access.

Q. How can I track my Child/Wards internet activities on Facebook?
A. Simply, do the following;

  1. Login to the Kaspersky Safe Kids App in parent mode.
  2. Click on the “Social Networks” tab and add your Child’s Facebook email address.
  3. An email will be sent to your child’s email to confirm, click “Turn On Protection” and sign into their Facebook Account.
Q. Will I be notified if my Child/Ward attempts to browse harmful/unwanted sites?
A. Yes, you will be notified. Simply, login to the Kaspersky Safe Kids App in parent mode and click “Settings” then click on “Notify About Searching on Restricted Themes”.
